If you go there more than once, he knows your name. I always compare his repairs on a website for what you should pay for a certain job, and he is always under, usually 1/2 what a dealership would cost. You can't go wrong there."

  • "I've taken my car to plenty of different shops before and I've never experienced service like this. My car had a squealing serpentine belt for several weeks and two other mechanics diagnosed the potential causes to be the pulleys and the water pump. Simon tightened my belt slightly and the squealing has been non-existent since... it's been over a month now, so the problem is definitely fixed. What made Simon's service so unique is that he actually fixed it for free! He said it wasn't a big deal and was a quick fix so no need to charge. I was a first time customer and am simply amazed that there's a shop out there that was willing to service a customer for free while so many others will charge you for things that don't even need fixing. I'll definitely be coming back next time my car needs some love! These guys rock!"

  • "I wanted to write this review because I feel when a person or business does a great job they deserve to be recognized so others can benefit. I have read some of the lower rated comments people have written and feel they are unrealistic in their expectations and would never be happy regardless of the outcome. I had much experience around auto service garages growing up since my father owned an auto parts store and I delivered parts and interacted with dozens of garage owners and saw firsthand the ones who treated their customers with respect and ran an honest business and others not so much. When I moved to Upton I looked for a service garage who I could build a relationship with and when I met Simon and his team at Gasco I was pleased with my initial experience. Over the years I can honestly say that Simon and his team have never mislead me or tried to cheat me in any way. Over the years I have brought 9 different cars ( mine and family members) to Simon for work ( both American and foreign made) and never once had a bad experience. Here are examples of what I have experienced that may help others make their own decision on asking Gasco for help with their vehicle: 1. They have always tried to accommodate my schedule whether I needed help on a late night or weekend. 2. Out of probably 30 times I’ve taken a car for service, Simon has suggested maybe four times that I take my car to the dealership only because he knew they would have the part readily available OR had more experience fixing a particularly unique issue to the car. 3. They have always been gentlemen to my wife and mother-in-law. Always took the time to explain the issue, given a ride back home free of charge when needed, and never made them feel awkward in anyway. 4. Not every car problem can be fixed on the first try – that it not being realistic. If Simon or his team fixed my car and the problem continued, he was always quick to take the car back and reevaluate it without extra charge or pointing the finger.
